Regarding my most recent bout of anxiety:
Bella: I’ve been trying to avoid you.H: I’ve been trying to avoid you.Bella: Are you afraid of me?H: I’m always afraid of you!
He must mean it. H almost never speaks in exclamation points.
LOLI wanna be like you and H someday.
I love this — and the comments. I think sometimes Rick is scared of me, too. I rarely pop, but on those rare occasions it isn't pretty — and I think he's been with me long enough to see the symptoms! Always good to keep them on their toes!
My husband said something similar to me a while ago, when I was in hyper angst mode about whether to quit my job. "You're scaring me," he said quietly one morning when I was ranting about the same old irritations. That was food for thought.I think/hope I'm a little less frightening these days!
LOL – I know that Dr. M tiptoes around me when I'm in a mood. In fact, he sometimes gets so ingratiating that it backfires on him when I start snarling. Poor guy 🙂
Here's a clue. All us longtime husbands have repressed fear. Just try to get us to make a suggestion.
WHAT????? H used an exclamation point????? NO!!!!!At least he didn't use &$^@"")*&
Great follow-up to the previous post! I love your conversations with H.
